Kajian tentang filsafat kekuasaan dalam konteks perang asimetris adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dinamika legitimasi dan otoritas menjadi dasar tindakan serta strategi yang dilakukan oleh aktor-aktor yang tidak seimbang secara militer atau ekonomi. Terutama dalam perang asimetris, di mana pihak yang lebih lemah secara konvensional berhadapan dengan kekuatan yang lebih besar, isu legitimasi memainkan peran penting di semua hal saat berusaha untuk mendapat dukungan dan moralitas dalam pandangan umum publik serta masyarakat internasional. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menganalisis bagaimana aktor-aktor yang terlibat mengembangkan otoritas moral, politik dan sosial guna mengimbangi ketimpangan kekuatan dengan cara-cara non-konvensional seperti melalui narasi ideologis kampanye informasi bentuk lain dari perang hibrida. Dengan pendekatan filsafat politik dan etika, kajian ini mempertimbangkan konsep-konsep seperti ”just war theory”, legitimasi aksi kekerasan, serta batasan moral dalam operasi yang berpotensi mengorbankan hak-hak sipil dan lembaga internasional hukum. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih jelas bagaimana kekuasaan dan otoritas dikonseptualisasikan serta dipertahankan dalam perang asimetris, dan apa dampaknya terhadap stabilitas global keamanan.
