Abstract

The degradation of the value of unity over identity political attitudes affects political dynamics and the results of the presidential election in the 2024 election. This will be an important moment in a country's political history. One aspect that will play a role in the election process is the value of unity over identity politics. This research uses qualitative methods to examine the degradation of the value of unity based on identity political attitudes. This research was conducted by interviewing 10 community members on Jalan Perjuangan by identifying the results of the community's response to political polarization, the role of social communities ahead of the 2024 election, responses to the use of political identities by presidential candidates which contribute to the degradation of the value of unity, and the political attitudes that are influenced by social media.
