The Influence of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes on Pancasila Material for Class 5 Elementary Schools

This study aims to determine: 1) the difference in learning outcomes of 5th grade students on Pancasila material before and after applying the cooperative learning model type teams game tournament; 2) the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model type teams game tournament on the learning outcomes of 5th grade students on Pancasila material. This research was conducted twice with the research subjects of 5th grade students of SD Negeri Tugurejo 02 as many as 26 people. The research method used was pre-experimental type one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques in this study were using tests, interviews, and observations with a descriptive quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used was paired sample t-test and n-gain test assisted by number processing application (SPSS). The results showed that: 1) there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes before the application of the TGT type Cooperative Learning model and the learning outcomes after the application of the TGT type Cooperative Learning model as indicated by the calculation of the t-count value of 9.381 greater than the t-table value of 1.70814; 2) the TGT type cooperative learning model is effective enough to improve the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education as indicated by the calculation of the n-gain score of 60.38%.
