Elektroreduksi CO2 menggunakan elektroda boron-doped diamond (BDD) termodifikasi emas (Au)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil elektroreduksi CO2 menggunakan elektroda boron-doped diamond (BDD) yang didepositkan logam emas (Au). Au didepositkan pada elektroda boron-doped diamond (BDD) menggunakan teknik kronoamperometri. Berbagai konsentrasi digunakan dengan potensial deposisi secara berturut-turut -0,2 dan -0,3 V (vs Ag/AgCl). Siklik voltametri diterapkan untuk menentukan kondisi optimum elektroreduksi CO2 pada Au. CO2 dilarutkan dalam larutan NaCl 0,1 M dan Na2SO4 0,1 M. Suatu puncak reduksi yang berhubungan dengan CO2 muncul pada potensial -0,7 V (vs Ag/AgCl) pada larutan NaCl, sementara tidak ada puncak yang muncul pada larutan Na2SO4. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modifikasi logam pada elektroda boron-doped diamond (BDD) dapat digunakan sebagai elektroda kerja pada elektroreduksi CO2.
