Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan dalam penulisan daftar pustaka pada laporan penelitian mahasiswa, menganalisis faktor penyebabnya, serta menemukan solusi efektif untuk meminimalkan kesalahan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei terhadap 15 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan utama meliputi ketidakkonsistenan format (APA, MLA, Chicago Style), kesalahan penulisan informasi bibliografi, dan kurangnya pemahaman tentang standar sitasi. Faktor penyebab utamanya adalah minimnya bimbingan akademik, ketidaktelitian dalam menyalin referensi, serta keterbatasan waktu. Mayoritas responden (67%) menganggap bahwa penggunaan perangkat lunak referensi seperti Mendeley atau Zotero merupakan solusi paling efektif. Namun, masih diperlukan peningkatan bimbingan dosen dan penyediaan panduan yang lebih lengkap untuk membantu mahasiswa menyusun daftar pustaka secara akurat.
