Hubungan Antara Literasi Keuangan Terhadap Gaya Hidup Konsumtif Mahasiswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara literasi keuangan dan gaya hidup konsumtif mahasiswa di Sumatera Utara. Gaya hidup konsumtif yang ditandai pembelian impulsif dan mengikuti tren semakin meningkat di kalangan mahasiswa, sementara tingkat literasi keuangan masih relatif rendah. Penelitian kuantitatif korelasional ini menggunakan data kuesioner dari 47 responden mahasiswa. Hasil uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan koefisien 0,724 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,01). Temuan ini membuktikan adanya hubungan negatif yang kuat dan signifikan, artinya semakin tinggi literasi keuangan mahasiswa, semakin rendah kecenderungan gaya hidup konsumtifnya. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa literasi keuangan berfungsi sebagai faktor protektif terhadap perilaku konsumtif, sehingga diperlukan penguatan edukasi keuangan di lingkungan kampus.
