Pengaruh Latihan Interval Sprint terhadap Peningkatan Kecepatan Lari Jarak Pendek Atlet Remaja

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh latihan interval sprint (Sprint Interval Training/SIT) terhadap peningkatan kecepatan lari jarak pendek (100 meter) pada atlet remaja. Kecepatan merupakan komponen fisik dominan dalam cabang atletik lari jarak pendek, yang sangat menentukan prestasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah atlet lari jarak pendek remaja (usia 15–18 tahun) dari klub/sekolah olahraga (POPLASDA/PPLP) yang akan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: Kelompok Eksperimen (KE) yang menerima program interval sprint selama 8 minggu, dan Kelompok Kontrol (KK) yang menerima latihan rutin konvensional. Data kecepatan lari akan diukur melalui tes lari 100 meter menggunakan timing gate (atau stopwatch digital terkalibrasi). Analisis data menggunakan uji-t (t-test) untuk membandingkan perbedaan peningkatan kecepatan (gain score) antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menunjukkan bahwa latihan interval sprint memiliki pengaruh signifikan yang lebih besar dalam meningkatkan kecepatan lari jarak pendek dibandingkan latihan konvensional, memberikan landasan ilmiah bagi penyusunan program pelatihan atletik yang lebih efektif.
