Abstract

Pendidikan penerbang pada Program Sarjana Terapan di Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug mengintegrasikan pembelajaran teori (ground school) dan praktik terbang (flight training) untuk membentuk kompetensi penerbang profesional. Masalah utama yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian adalah terjadinya keterlambatan pencapaian target akademik pada fase praktik terbang, berbeda dengan fase ground school yang selalu memenuhi kalender akademik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kegagalan praktik terbang terhadap pencapaian target akademik taruna serta mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab dominannya. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasi-regresi linear sederhana dengan sampel sebanyak 48 taruna (D-IV Penerbang Angkatan 7, 8, dan 9) dan 12 data pengamatan bulanan periode Januari–Desember 2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kegagalan praktik terbang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap target akademik ( , ) dengan kontribusi determinasi ( ) sebesar . Faktor cuaca (weather) menjadi penyebab kegagalan paling dominan dengan rata-rata 68,25 kejadian/bulan, disusul faktor kesiapan pesawat (29,33 kejadian/bulan) dan NOTAM (24,42 kejadian/bulan). Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa akumulasi kegagalan operasional memperlambat durasi pencapaian target jam terbang. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan untuk mengkaji faktor selain kegagalan praktik terbang yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap pencapaian target akademik taruna yang belum diteliti dalam penelitian ini.
