Helminthiasis remains one of the most common health problems among school-aged children in Indonesia. Limited knowledge regarding the proper use of anthelmintic drugs may reduce the effectiveness of helminthiasis prevention and control. This study aimed to determine the effect of video and leaflet media on students’ knowledge regarding the use of anthelmintic drugs and to compare the effectiveness of both educational media. A quasi-experimental study using a pretest-posttest two-group design was conducted among 60 seventh-grade students at SMP Y, Merangin Regency. Participants were divided into a video group (n=30) and a leaflet group (n=30) using total sampling. Knowledge was measured using a structured questionnaire before and after the educational intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann–Whitney Test. The mean knowledge score increased from 65.83 to 80.50 in the video group and from 72.00 to 88.17 in the leaflet group. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant increase in knowledge in both groups (p<0.001), whereas the Mann–Whitney test demonstrated no significant difference in knowledge improvement between the two educational media (p=0.799). Both video and leaflet media effectively improved students’ knowledge regarding the use of anthelmintic drugs; however, no significant difference in effectiveness was observed between the two interventions.
