Abstract

Sabun cuci tangan cair adalah bentuk sediaan yang digunakan oleh masyarakat yang berfungsi sebagai pembersih kotoran, debu dan mikroorganisme yang menempel pada tangan secara mekanis dari kulit kedua belah tangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana formulasi sediaan sabun cuci tangan dan uji mutu sediaan dari buah tomat (Solanum lycopersicum l.). Metode peneliitian eskperimental dilakukan dengan cara meserasi. Formulasi ekstrak tomat dengan 1g, 2g, dan 3g. Setiap formula dilakukan uji mutu meliputi uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji viskositas dan uji stabilitas busa. Hasil penelitia ini, sediaan pada F1, F2, dan F3 memili warna kuning, kuning kecoklatan, dan kuning coklat tua. Berbentuk cair, aroma khas tomat. Pada uji homogenitas F1, F2 dan F3 homogenitas. Pada uji pH F1 9, F2 8, dan F3 8 ketiganya memenuhi syarat SNI yaitu 8-11. Pada uji viskositas F1 1339 cPs F2 1590 cPs dan F3 840 cPs ketiganya memenuhi syarat yaitu 400 – 4000 cPs. Pada Uji stabilitas busa F1 76,47%, F2 73,33%, F3 66,66% pada formulasi F1 dan F2 tidak memenuhi standar dikarenakan hal ini melebihi syarat yaitu 60-70%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa formulasi sediaan sabun cuci tangan cair dari ekstrak buah tomat pada F1 dan F2 belum memenuhi persyartan untuk uji satbilitas busa.
