Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menganalisis kasus permbetian hubungan kerja yang dilakukan secara sepihak oleh banyak perushaan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga dikaitkan dengan kasus yang pernah terjadi, agar dpat memudahkan pembaca untuk memahami penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode normative. Dimana hukum primernya berupa Undang- Undang No 13 Tahun 2003 dan menggunakan literatur seperti makalah dan juga jurnal hukum. Penelitian ini menjelaskan pemberhenian hubungan kerja itu tidak dapat dilakukan secara sepihak karena pemberhentian hubungan kerja harus melewati bebarap proses. Dan juga membahas mengenai perlindungan atas hak pekerja/buruh yang terkena pemberhentian hubungan kerja secara sepihak.
