Pelanggaran konsumen merujuk pada tindakan atau praktik bisnis yang melanggar hak-hak atau kepentingan konsumen. Memberikan layanan yang tidak memenuhi harapan konsumen atau tidak sesuai dengan apa yang dijanjikan.Pelanggaran konsumen terjadi ketika perusahaan atau individu yang menjual produk atau layanan melanggar hak-hak atau kepentingan konsumen. Ini bisa termasuk pemasaran yang menyesatkan, produk yang cacat, layanan yang tidak memadai, penipuan, atau pelanggaran terhadap privasi. Pelanggaran semacam itu bisa merugikan konsumen secara finansial, fisik, atau emosional, dan sering kali memerlukan respons hukum atau regulasi untuk menyelesaikannya.
