Abstract

Kajian Sejarah Situs Bukit Siguntang di Desa Muaro Sekalo, Kecamatan Sumay, Kabupaten Tebo, Provinsi Jambi merupakan artikel ilmiah tentang kajian pustaka dalam lingkup bidang ilmu pengetahuan. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menunjukkan nilai-nilai budaya dan sejarah yang terkandung di Situs Bukit Siguntang serta peran dan fungsinya dalam pengembangan sejarah lokal dan regional. Objek penelitian adalah pustaka daring, Naskah Kuno, Catatan Kuno dan situs Bukit Siguntang beserta seluruh unsur sejarah, budaya, dan fisik yang melekat padanya. Metode penelitian dengan pustaka risearch yang bersumber dari Naskah dan Catatan Kuno. Analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari artikel ini: 1) menunjukkan bahwa situs tersebut memiliki nilai sejarah dan budaya yang signifikan, terkait dengan peradaban Melayu dan Kerajaan Sriwijaya. 2) Penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa Bukit Siguntang merupakan pusat kegiatan keagamaan sejak abad ke-7 hingga abad ke-14 Masehi 3) temuan arkeologis seperti arca Buddha, prasasti, dan keramik kuno yang mendukung peran pentingnya dalam sejarah wilayah tersebut.
