Authoritarian Parenting Patterns on the Development of Independence in Children Aged 5-6 Years

Each parenting style has advantages and disadvantages, so not all parents are able and comfortable in adopting a parenting style that is considered good by others. Even so, it is better for parents to be able to choose the right parenting style so that the process of developing independence in children will run optimally. This approach uses a case study approach. The focus of this research is to describe in depth how parenting styles affect the development of independence in children aged 5-6 years. Therefore the researcher used descriptive case study research, in which the researcher was directly involved in the research directly, as well as carried out a thorough analysis of research data on each individual behavior as well as activities and events that occurred at TK Plus Darul Hikmah. Based on the results of this study, the pattern Parenting is a very important stage for children, especially in the development of children's independence. parenting style should be a consideration for parents, because choosing a good parenting style will lead to good communication between children and parents. Authoritarians can also be brave when they are in the truth because children are used to harsh upbringing.
