Abstract

This research aims to analyze the extent of the role of PPKn students in influencing political culture within the Medan State University environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The focus of this research was students majoring in Civics with a total of six people. The data collection technique used in this research is by conducting interviews containing five questions to the informants/respondents. Based on the research results, it shows that the role of PPKn students is very important and influences the political culture within Medan State University, the participation of PPKn students in the democratic process is also quite large, and there are still challenges faced by PPKn students in the democratic process, namely that some students are not interested and do not have sufficient understanding of the importance of political participation in the democratic process. Therefore, PPKn students must learn to communicate effectively and find solutions that promote common interests.
