Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membaca ulang makna dibalik teks-teks puisi karya Nizar Qabbani yang kontroversial menggunakan kode narasi Roland Barthes. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh kritikan syekh Ali Mustofa Al-Tantowi yang menilai gaya penulisan Nizar Qabbani yang vulgar tersebut tidak relevan dengan kebudayaan bangsa Arab. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik baca dan tulis. Dalam teori Roland Barthes terdapat lima kode pembacaan yaitu kode hermeneutic, kode semik, kode proaeretik, kode simbolik, dan kode kultural. Dari data yang diperoleh, terdapat kode-kode dan pemaknaan perempuan yang ditemukan dalam puisi asyhadu an la imra’ata illa anti karya Nizar Qabbani.
