Abstract

Voting telah menjadi salah satu metode untuk mengambil keputusan penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Voting digunakan mulai dari tingkat masyarakat terkecil, yaitu keluarga, sampai dengan sebuah negara. Voting digunakan untuk menghimpun aspirasi dari seluruh elemen masyarakat dan kemudian dijadikan sebagai jalan keluar yang dianggap paling baik untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Pengembangan perangkat lunak pemilihan ketua umum difokuskan pada teknologi berbasis web dikarenakan teknologi tersebut mudah dalam pengaksesannya. Dalam proses pengembangan perangkat lunak ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian observasi. Untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan metode perangkat lunak secara prototype yang merupakan salah satu teknik analisis data, sedangkan untuk merancang aplikasi ini digunakan metode perancangan berorientasi objek dengan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML). Dengan menggunakan PHP sebagai bahasa pemrograman server dan MySQL sebagai server database. Perangkat lunak yang dihasilkan dari pengembangan tersebut bersifat spesifik untuk pemilihan ketua umum pada organisasi IPMKN. Hasil pengujian membuktikan bahwa perangkat lunak yang dihasilkan mampu memenuhi persyaratan pemilihan yang baik.
