Abstract

Artikel ini menjelajahi keberagaman etnis Melayu di Sumatera Utara, sebuah daerah yang kaya akan tradisi dan nilai-nilai budaya. Dengan meneliti berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat Melayu, termasuk seni, adat istiadat, dan bahasa, artikel ini mengungkap bagaimana warisan budaya ini tetap relevan di era modern. Melalui wawancara dengan tokoh masyarakat, pengamatan lapangan, dan kajian literatur, penulis menggali pemahaman mendalam tentang bagaimana komunitas Melayu menjaga identitas mereka sambil beradaptasi dengan perubahan zaman. Selain itu, artikel ini juga menyoroti tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pelestarian budaya dan bagaimana generasi muda berperan penting dalam menjaga tradisi. Dengan demikian, artikel ini tidak hanya menjadi sebuah refleksi atas kekayaan budaya Melayu, tetapi juga ajakan untuk lebih menghargai dan melestarikannya.
