Pengaruh Prancis di Nusantara di Era Gempurnya Konflik Global pada Perspektif Politik dan Kekuasaan Global

Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh Prancis di Nusantara pada abad ke-18 hingga awal abad ke-19 dalam konteks konflik global dan kolonialisme modern. Meskipun kehadiran Prancis bersifat singkat dan tidak sebesar dominasi Belanda maupun Inggris, dampaknya terbukti signifikan. Melalui interregnum Napoleon, reformasi administratif dan pembangunan infrastruktur yang dipimpin Herman Willem Daendels memperkenalkan model birokrasi modern dan sistem hukum kontinental. Di sisi lain, gagasan Revolusi Prancis tentang liberté, égalité, fraternité turut memengaruhi perkembangan wacana politik di Hindia Belanda dan memberi inspirasi awal bagi kesadaran nasionalisme. Selain itu, pengaruh epistemologis melalui kegiatan ilmiah dan eksplorasi naturalis memperlihatkan bagaimana pengetahuan digunakan sebagai instrumen legitimasi kolonial. Secara geopolitik, keterlibatan Prancis turut mengubah konstelasi kekuasaan kolonial di Asia Tenggara, khususnya dengan membuka jalan bagi masuknya Inggris ke Jawa pada 1811–1816. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengaruh Prancis di Nusantara tidak dapat dipandang sebagai episode kecil, melainkan bagian integral dari dinamika kolonialisme global.
