Peran Pendidikan Jasmani Adaptif dalam Mengembangkan Kemampuan Motorik Anak Tunagrahita

Pendidikan jasmani adaptif merupakan salah satu bentuk layanan pendidikan yang dirancang khusus untuk memenuhi kebutuhan peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus, termasuk anak tunagrahita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan jasmani adaptif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan motorik anak tunagrahita. Anak tunagrahita umumnya mengalami hambatan dalam aspek kognitif dan fisik yang berdampak pada keterampilan motoriknya. Melalui program pendidikan jasmani adaptif, anak diberikan kesempatan untuk mengikuti aktivitas gerak yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan dan karakteristiknya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan mengkaji berbagai hasil penelitian terdahulu serta teori yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan jasmani adaptif dapat meningkatkan koordinasi, kekuatan otot, kelenturan, keseimbangan, serta keterampilan motorik dasar anak tunagrahita. Selain itu, pendidikan jasmani adaptif juga berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri, kemandirian, serta kemampuan bersosialisasi. Dengan demikian, pendidikan jasmani adaptif memiliki peran penting tidak hanya dalam pengembangan fisik, tetapi juga dalam mendukung aspek psikologis dan sosial anak tunagrahita.
