Pengaruh Latihan Interval Training Terhadap VO₂Max Atlet Lari pada Club Vendeta Training Center

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan interval terhadap peningkatan VO₂Max pada atlet lari di Club Vendeta Training Center. Penelitian menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design dengan melibatkan 20 atlet yang dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen (n=10) yang diberikan perlakuan berupa latihan interval selama tiga minggu, dan kelompok kontrol (n=10) yang hanya menjalani latihan rutin tanpa perlakuan interval. Pengukuran VO₂Max dilakukan dengan Balke 15 menit Test pada saat pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan rata-rata VO₂Max sebesar 4,88 ml/kg/min, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya meningkat 0,45 ml/kg/min. Uji paired sample t-test pada kelompok eksperimen menghasilkan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000 (< 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan latihan interval terhadap peningkatan VO₂Max. Selanjutnya, uji independent sample t-test pada data posttest juga menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dengan nilai p = 0,000 (< 0,05) dan selisih rata-rata sebesar 4,62 ml/kg/min. Dengan demikian, latihan interval terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan VO₂Max atlet lari. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya latihan interval sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kapasitas aerobik dan performa atlet, khususnya pada cabang olahraga lari jarak menengah maupun jauh.
