Strategi Ekspansi Portugis dan Spanyol di Indonesia: Analisis Kebijakan Kolonial Awal Eropa

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi ekspansi Portugis dan Spanyol di Indonesia pada masa awal kolonialisme Eropa dengan memfokuskan pada motif ekonomi, politik, dan keagamaan yang mendorong kedua negara tersebut masuk ke wilayah Nusantara. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Portugis terutama berupaya menguasai jalur perdagangan rempah dan mendirikan pusat-pusat pertahanan, sementara Spanyol lebih menekankan pembentukan aliansi dengan kekuatan lokal serta penyebaran agama melalui misi Katolik. Persaingan kedua kekuatan Iberia ini tidak hanya memengaruhi pola perdagangan global, tetapi juga membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap dinamika sosial dan politik masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kebijakan kolonial awal Eropa memiliki dampak jangka panjang terhadap struktur kekuasaan dan perkembangan sejarah Indonesia.
