Workshop Keshigomu Hanko sebagai Media Pengenalan Budaya Jepang dan Pengembangan Kreativitas Siswa SMA di Kabupaten Bekasi

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan memperkenalkan budaya Jepang melalui workshop keshigomu hanko, yaitu seni ukir stempel berbahan dasar penghapus, kepada siswa-siswi SMA se-Kabupaten Bekasi dalam rangkaian kegiatan Takumi Matsuri 2026 di Politeknik Takumi pada 23 Mei 2026. Permasalahan yang diidentifikasi adalah kurangnya pemahaman generasi muda terhadap nilai-nilai budaya Jepang secara mendalam, di luar aspek budaya populer seperti anime dan manga. Metode yang diterapkan adalah experiential learning atau pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman langsung yang mencakup tiga tahap utama: pengenalan budaya hanko Jepang, praktik pembuatan karya secara mandiri, serta apresiasi dan refleksi hasil karya. Melalui proses pembuatan stempel ukir, peserta memperoleh pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai budaya Jepang seperti teineisa (ketelitian), nintai (kesabaran), shūchūryoku (konsentrasi), sōzōryoku (kreativitas), serta monozukuri seishin (semangat menciptakan karya berkualitas). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta mampu menyelesaikan karya dengan baik, antusiasme peserta tinggi, dan pembelajaran budaya melalui aktivitas praktik terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman lintas budaya dibandingkan metode ceramah semata. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pembelajaran budaya asing berbasis praktik yang berkelanjutan dalam program PKM Politeknik Takumi.
