Pengaruh Kepuasan Siswa Terhadap Academic Burnout Mahasiswa

Academic burnout adalah kondisi kelelahan emosional, sinisme, dan penurunan rasa kompetensi akibat tekanan akademis yang berkepanjangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kepuasan mahasiswa dengan tingkat academic burnout di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei pada 182 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah kepuasan mahasiswa, sedangkan variabel dependen adalah tingkat academic burnout.Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner School Burnout Inventory (SBI) dan instrumen efikasi diri. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara kepuasan mahasiswa dengan tingkat academic burnout, dengan persamaan regresi Y=37.606−0.499X+eY = 37.606 - 0.499X + e. Namun, hubungan tersebut tidak signifikan secara statistik (nilai t-hitung -5.903 < t-tabel 1.65336, dan signifikansi 0.001 < 0.05). Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0.162 menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan mahasiswa hanya menjelaskan 16.2% variabilitas academic burnout, sementara 83.8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.Kesimpulannya, kepuasan mahasiswa tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat academic burnout. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bahwa faktor lain seperti beban akademik, dukungan sosial, dan efikasi diri mungkin memiliki peran lebih besar dalam memengaruhi academic burnout. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan strategi yang meningkatkan kesejahteraan mahasiswa di lingkungan akademik.
