Analisis Penanganan Gangguan Baggage Handling System dan Hold Baggage Screening Terhadap Kelancaran Check-In Bagasi di Bandar Udara Internasional Sultan Hasanuddin Maros

Sebagai salah satu bandara tersibuk di Indonesia Timur, Bandara Internasional Sultan Hasanuddin Maros membutuhkan Baggage Handling System (BHS) dan Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) yang handal untuk menjamin kelancaran operasional. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan alur operasional BHS dan HBS pada proses check-in, serta merumuskan upaya mitigasi saat terjadi gangguan sistem. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam dengan lima informan secara purposive, kemudian divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alur operasional BHS dan HBS menggunakan pemeriksaan berlapis empat tingkat dengan server sebagai pusat kendali. Gangguan paling signifikan adalah server down, yang memicu efek berantai seperti terhentinya konveyor, penumpukan bagasi, dan tertundanya pemeriksaan HBS dengan estimasi pemulihan 30 menit hingga 2 jam. Penanganan yang dilakukan meliputi pelaporan, inspeksi manual menggunakan mesin x-ray OOG (Out of Gauge), serta penyaluran bagasi manual ke make-up area. Meski langkah ini telah memenuhi standar PM 9 Tahun 2024 dan ICAO Annex 17, pelaksanaannya belum maksimal akibat keterbatasan alat dan ketiadaan panduan video khusus penanganan gangguan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pemeliharaan berkala, penambahan unit x-ray OOG, serta penguatan sistem pemantauan yang terintegrasi.
