Pengembangan Prototipe Mock-Up Engine Pesawat Media Latihan Simulasi Penanggulangan Kebakaran Personel PKP-PK Bandar Udara

Pelayanan Pertolongan Kecelakaan Penerbangan dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP-PK) di bandar udara menghadapi tantangan belum optimalnya media latihan simulasi kebakaran engine pesawat. Penggunaan drum bekas membutuhkan waktu dan tenaga persiapan yang lama serta berisiko, sedangkan prototipe bertekanan terdahulu masih mengalami ketidakstabilan semburan api, kelemahan isolasi termal selang, serta bentuk fisik yang belum merepresentasikan engine pesawat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghadirkan sarana simulasi fisik yang aman, realistis, dan terkendali guna meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan operasional personel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang, membangun, dan menguji tingkat kelayakan prototipe mock-up engine pesawat sebagai media latihan simulasi penanggulangan kebakaran bagi personel PKP-PK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) Level 1 dengan model Borg and Gall yang disesuaikan, meliputi tahapan penelitian produk, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji fungsi terbatas, validasi ahli. Metode R&D Level 1 dipilih karena sangat tepat untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan spesifik, merancang prototipe awal, serta mengevaluasi kelayakan teknis melalui penilaian ahli sebelum diterapkan dalam skala luas. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan prototipe berbahan pelat besi silindris tebal 1,2 mm dengan sistem pembakaran LPG bertekanan yang dilengkapi spuyer nozzle burner, regulator, selang pelindung tahan panas, pemantik elektrik terintegrasi (step-up 400.000 V), serta penambahan roda untuk kemudahan mobilisasi. Hasil uji validasi oleh ahli materi menunjukkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 90,7% yang termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Layak. Disimpulkan bahwa prototipe mock-up engine pesawat sangat layak dan efisien digunakan sebagai media latihan simulasi kebakaran engine pesawat bagi personel PKP-PK di bandar udara secara terkendali. Penelitian lanjutan direkomendasikan untuk menambahkan sensor kebocoran gas, sistem pengatur tekanan otomatis, blower untuk pasokan udara, serta mengukur efektivitas peningkatannya terhadap kompetensi taktis personel secara kuantitatif.
