The Indonesian Journal of Education and Development Research (IJEDR) is a scholarly platform dedicated to advancing educational knowledge through the dissemination of original empirical research, theoretical investigations, systematic reviews, and innovative approaches to educational practice. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that examine the relationships between educational theory, institutional development, teaching and learning processes, technological innovation, and broader social transformation. Particular attention is given to studies that offer clear research contributions, employ rigorous methodological approaches, and provide meaningful implications for educators, researchers, policymakers, and educational institutions across diverse learning environments.

The journal encompasses a broad range of educational research areas, including curriculum theory and development, instructional design, pedagogical innovation, educational assessment, learning analytics, and evidence-based teaching practices. Its scope extends to educational psychology, cognitive development, student motivation, metacognition, classroom interaction, teacher professional development, educational leadership, school management, and institutional quality assurance. IJEDR also encourages research addressing digital education, artificial intelligence in teaching and learning, educational technology integration, online and blended learning, digital literacy, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies in educational settings.

In addition, the journal welcomes research on inclusive education, special educational needs, differentiated instruction, multicultural learning environments, educational equity, gender perspectives, and access to quality education for diverse populations. Relevant topics include early childhood development, primary and secondary education, higher education, vocational and technical training, lifelong learning, adult education, and community-based learning initiatives. The journal also provides a forum for scholarship on language acquisition, multilingual education, literacy development, discourse analysis, intercultural communication, and the teaching of local, national, and international languages. Research on science, technology, engineering, mathematics, environmental education, and interdisciplinary STEM learning is equally relevant, particularly when it investigates conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, problem-solving skills, and sustainability-oriented competencies.

Further areas of interest include educational research in economics, entrepreneurship, accounting, financial literacy, and workforce development; civic learning, democratic participation, citizenship, character formation, and values-based education; as well as religious education, moral development, and the role of cultural traditions in shaping educational experiences. The journal also considers studies in physical education, sports pedagogy, health education, student well-being, school health promotion, and psychosocial development. Research involving educational policy analysis, comparative education, educational sociology, community engagement, rural and urban educational disparities, educational financing, and the impact of socioeconomic conditions on learning outcomes is also encouraged.

IJEDR particularly values interdisciplinary and context-sensitive studies that connect educational challenges with practical and theoretically grounded solutions. Contributions may employ quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods designs, including experimental and quasi-experimental research, longitudinal investigations, case studies, ethnographic inquiry, design-based research, action research, and systematic evidence synthesis. Across these approaches, manuscripts should demonstrate methodological transparency, appropriate analytical procedures, ethical research practices, and conclusions supported by the evidence presented. By facilitating scholarly exchange across educational disciplines and research traditions, the journal seeks to contribute to the development of educational knowledge, the improvement of learning experiences, and the advancement of responsive, inclusive, and sustainable educational systems.
