Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas XI MAN 2 Model Medan tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain Two Group Experiment Control Posttest Only. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI F1C (41 siswa) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI F1 D (51 siswa) sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes menulis teks berita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen (88,5) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (62,5). Uji hipotesis menghasilkan t0>ttabel (5,08 > 2,57), membuktikan bahwa metode STAD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran STAD efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks berita siswa kelas XI MAN 2 Model Medan.
