Pengaruh Metode Tutor Sebaya Terhadap Proses Praktik Sanggul Pusung Tagel Bali di Kelas XI SMK Swasta Imelda Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode tutor sebaya terhadap proses praktik sanggul pusung tagel Bali pada siswa kelas XI Tata Kecantikan SMK Swasta Imelda Medan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Program Keahlian Tata Kecantikan, dengan sampel sebanyak 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu 30 siswa kelas kontrol menggunakan metode problem based learning dan 30 siswa kelas eksperimen menggunakan metode tutor sebaya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar observasi proses praktik yang terdiri atas 11 indikator penilaian, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 75,58, sedangkan kelas eksperimen mencapai 86,11. Hasil uji t memperoleh nilai thitung = 10,17 > ttabel = 1,67, sehingga Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, metode tutor sebaya berpengaruh signifikan dan lebih efektif dibandingkan problem based learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan praktik sanggul pusung tagel Bali siswa.
