Kelayakan Usaha Tani Padi Sawah di Desa Tegalwangi Kecamatan Talang Kabupaten Tegal

Abstract

Suminto (2025), Agriculture is an important sector in the Indonesian economy. Judging from the contribution of the agricultural sector in providing food needs for the Indonesian people, agriculture plays an important role in the sustainability of national food security. The study has shown that the food crisis can lead to a multidimensional crisis. For example, the 1997/1998 economic crisis in Indonesia was triggered by a spike in rice prices, which then developed into a serious social and political crisis. This study uses a qualitative research method that uses census data from 56 respondents in Tegalwangi Village, Talang District, Tegal Regency. In this study, the age of the most respondent farmers was in the 49-55 interval, as many as 20 people with a percentage of 36.36%. While the fewest respondent farmers were 63-69, as many as 2 people with a percentage of 9.09%. This shows that respondents are productive and have sufficient potential to engage in rice farming. The results of this study are that the total income from farming is IDR. 34,199,750 on average per planting season, with an average production cost incurred by farmers of Rp. 23,025,000 while the net income or profit from rice farming obtained by respondent farmers is Rp. 11,175,000/farmer planting season in Tegalwangi Village, Talang District, Tegal Regency. This income is the net profit obtained by rice farmers from the difference between expenditure and income. The calculation of the feasibility analysis of the R/C Ratio with a value of 1.49 can be concluded that rice farming in Tegalwangi Village is in an economically profitable position, because the R/C Ratio value obtained is greater than 1, meaning that every 1 rupiah expenditure can provide an income of 1.49 rupiah that the Rice Farming Business in Tegalwangi Village, Talang District, Tegal Regency is declared feasible to be operated.
