Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan terhadap Pancasila sebagai dasar negara dan ideologi bangsa serta bagaimana penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman yang cukup baik terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila, namun dalam penerapannya masih terdapat kesenjangan antara pemahaman teoritis dan praktik nyata di kehidupan kampus. Faktor yang mempengaruhi hal tersebut meliputi motivasi individu, lingkungan sosial, serta pengaruh globalisasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Pancasila agar dapat diimplementasikan secara optimal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
