Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi Masyarakat adat Negeri Tihulale tentang baileu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan strategi-strategi yang bersifat interaktif dan fleksibel yang ditujukan untuk memahami fenomena-fenomena sosial dari sudut pandang partisipan. Data yang digunakan merupakan data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari informan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan mendalam. Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa Masyarakat Negeri Tihulale sangat mengharapkan dan menginginkan adanya Baileu di Negeri Tihulale, karena hal ini berkaitan keputusan-keputusan adat yang genting dan harus diputuskan hasilya di dalam rumah Baileu, pelantikan Raja/Upu Latu secara adat begitupun juga hubungan horizontal antara anak cucu Negeri Tihulale dengan Leluhur mereka sebagaimana anak cucu memiliki rumah begitupun leluhur mereka juga harus memiliki rumah di dalam Negeri Tihulale Amalesi. Sehingga catatan penting untuk seluruh Masyarakat Negeri Tihulale agar tetap menjaga dan melestarikan Baileo untuk kehidupan sehari-hari mereka.
