Optimasi Alokasi Waktu Kerja Pekerja di Kota Medan Menggunakan Model Labor-Leisure Choice Pendekatan Simulasi Matematika dengan Data Sekunder B

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis optimasi alokasi waktu kerja pekerja di Kota Medan menggunakan pendekatan Matematika Ekonomi dasar. Model yang digunakan adalah Labor-Leisure Choice dengan fungsi utilitas Cobb-Douglas U(X,Y)=X^α Y^(1-α). Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif-teoritis dengan simulasi numerik berdasarkan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Medan dan BPS Provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2024–2025. Parameter yang digunakan meliputi total waktu efektif T=16jam per hari, upah per jam w="Rp17.206" , serta variasi parameter preferensi α=0,40; $0,50$; dan $0,60$. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa jam kerja optimal (H^*) adalah H^*=αT, sehingga pada α=0,40diperoleh H^*=6,4jam, pada α=0,50diperoleh H^*=8,0jam, dan pada α=0,60diperoleh H^*=9,6jam per hari. Pendapatan harian optimal berkisar antara Rp110.118 hingga Rp165.178. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa banyak pekerja informal di Medan cenderung bekerja melebihi jam kerja optimal, sehingga utilitas yang diperoleh belum maksimal. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bahwa pekerja perlu menyeimbangkan antara pendapatan dan waktu luang sesuai preferensi masing-masing, sementara pemerintah dapat mendorong kebijakan fleksibel working hours dan peningkatan upah per jam.
