Abstract

Famili Poaceae merupakan kelompok tumbuhan monokotil yang memiliki persebaran luas dan berperan penting sebagai sumber pangan, pakan ternak, serta tanaman penutup tanah. Namun, informasi mengenai karakter morfologi famili Poaceae masih tersebar di berbagai sumber ilmiah sehingga diperlukan kajian yang lebih sistematis dan terintegrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakter morfologi famili Poaceae berdasarkan berbagai sumber literatur ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui analisis berbagai jurnal ilmiah nasional dan internasional terbitan tahun 2022–2026. Metode studi literatur dipilih karena mampu memberikan sintesis data secara komprehensif dari berbagai hasil penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa famili Poaceae memiliki karakteristik morfologi khas berupa akar serabut, batang beruas dan silindris, daun bertulang sejajar yang dilengkapi pelepah dan ligula, bunga berbentuk spikelet, serta buah bertipe kariopsis. Selain memiliki persamaan karakter dasar, beberapa spesies Poaceae juga menunjukkan variasi morfologi pada batang, daun, dan bunga sesuai dengan habitat tumbuhnya. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakter morfologi vegetatif dan generatif memiliki peranan penting dalam identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan analisis hubungan kekerabatan antarspesies famili Poaceae. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk melakukan pengamatan lapangan dan analisis anatomi maupun molekuler guna memperoleh data morfologi yang lebih mendalam dan akurat.
