Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas tentang peran Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) dalam melaksanakan tugasnya yaitu dalam menjaga ketertiban dan ketentraman serta pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Tugas Satpol PP sendiri tercantum dalam UU No.32 Tahun 2004 Pasal 148 yaitu Polisi Pamong Praja adalah perangkat pemerintah daerah dengan tugas pokok menegakkan perda, menyelenggarakan ketertiban umum dan ketenteraman masyarakat sebagai pelaksanaan tugas desentralisasi. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja masih bisa dibilang rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari responsivitas kinerja dan efisiensi dari pegawai Satpol PP yang masih kurang dalam upaya melakukan penertiban di masyarkat.
