General election or election is the election of most or all members of the Legislature and the head of government or head of state, directly elected by the people. Or more briefly it is the process of selecting someone to occupy a certain leadership position. This election is conducted with a period of 5 (five) years, in accordance with the term limit of office of state leaders and people's representatives. In Indonesia alone, elections have been held 13 (thirteen) times, but in its application there are often problems. Often there are election disputes due to different views on a provision that occurs between leadership candidates and fellow leadership candidates, or because there are certain public reports of a law in elections. Election disputes are the subject matter that is always challenged to the Constitutional Court. At the end of 2023 there is a discussion about the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential elections, the development of the 2024 Election has caused controversy regarding the request for Judicial review of an Election Law, regarding the age limit for Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates. so that this study will be examined in detail about the Authority of the Constitutional Court and the Decisions of Constitutional Judges in decisions NO. 90/PUU-XXI/2023.
