Kecerdasan Emosional dan Kepuasan Kerja: Studi pada Karyawan Generasi Z di Sektor Startup

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran Kecerdasan Emosional (EQ) terhadap Kepuasan Kerja (JK) pada angkatan kerja Generasi Z, khususnya yang bekerja di perusahaan startup yang dikenal dinamis dan menantang. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dari 252 karyawan Generasi Z yang tersebar di berbagai startup melalui instrumen Schutte Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SSEIT) dan Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS). Analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa responden memiliki tingkat Kepuasan Kerja yang cenderung tinggi (Mean JSS = 4.6321) dan Kecerdasan Emosional yang baik (Mean SSEIT = 3.3906). Hasil uji regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa Kecerdasan Emosional berperan signifikan dan positif dalam memprediksi Kepuasan Kerja (ρ < 0.05). Nilai Koefisien Determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.597 mengindikasikan bahwa 59.7% dari variasi Kepuasan Kerja secara substansial dijelaskan oleh Kecerdasan Emosional. Semakin tinggi kemampuan Gen Z dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkan emosi mereka, semakin tinggi pula tingkat kepuasan mereka terhadap pekerjaan. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa perusahaan startup perlu memprioritaskan pengembangan soft skill, terutama pelatihan Kecerdasan Emosional, sebagai strategi retensi kunci untuk memastikan kesejahteraan psikologis dan produktivitas karyawan Generasi Z.
