Filsafat Sejarah dan Identitas Lokal: Refleksi Tradisi Ma’lamba Tedong pada Bulan Agustus di Kecamatan Nosu

Penelitian ini menelaah tradisi Ma’lamba Tedong—ritual pelepasan kerbau setiap bulan Agustus di Kecamatan Nosu—sebagai ekspresi filsafat sejarah dan identitas lokal masyarakat Mamasa. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif berbasis hermeneutika sosial-budaya, tradisi dipahami sebagai teks hidup yang mengandung makna historis, spiritual, dan ekologis. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh adat dan pemuka agama, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi Ma’lamba Tedong merupakan bentuk reenactment kesadaran historis yang menghidupkan kembali ingatan leluhur melalui tindakan komunal yang berulang. Kerbau berfungsi sebagai simbol kosmologis yang menghubungkan manusia, alam, dan dimensi spiritual, sekaligus memperkuat solidaritas sosial dan menjaga keseimbangan ekologis. Modernisasi menghadirkan tantangan berupa komersialisasi simbol budaya dan pergeseran nilai pada generasi muda, sehingga revitalisasi tradisi membutuhkan integrasi pendidikan, dokumentasi budaya, dan kolaborasi komunitas. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa Ma’lamba Tedong bukan sekadar warisan adat, tetapi sumber pengetahuan historis-spiritual yang relevan bagi penguatan identitas lokal dan pembelajaran sejarah berbasis kearifan lokal.
