Hak Asasi Manusia atau HAM adalah salah satu topik yang menarik untuk dibahas karena HAM memiliki konsep yang unik dan prinsip fundamentalnya mengakui bahwa setiap individu memiliki hak yang tidak terpisahkan, inheren, dan tidak dapat dicabut oleh pihak lain maupun oleh negara. Tujuan dari dibuatnya jurnal ini untuk mengetahui Implementasi Hak Asasi Manusia di Indonesia. Hak Asasi Manusia merupakan hak dasar yang sudah melekat pada manusia, bersifat universal yang perlu dilindungi, dihormati, dilakukan, dipertahankan, dan tidak boleh diabaikan, dikurangi, atau dirampas oleh siapapun, termasuk oleh pemerintah dan aparatur negara. Indonesia sebagai negara hukum perlu memiliki Implementasi Hak Asasi Manusia yang berdasarkan pada Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 yang mencerminkan penghormatan terhadap Hak Asasi Manusia. Hak Asasi Manusia ini meliputi hak-hak dasar seperti hak hidup, kebebasan berpendapat, kebebasan beragama, kebebasan bergerak, dan perlindungan dari penyiksaan. Penerapan hukum terhadap pelanggaran Hak Asasi Manusia masih perlu perbaikan dari setiap aspek penegakan HAM, karena masih banyak kasus pelanggaran Hak Asasi Manusia berat yang masih belum diselesaikan.
