Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan demokratis ketua OSIS dalam mendukung keberhasilan program pengembangan minat dan bakat siswa di SMA Swasta Nur Azizi Tanjung Morawa. OSIS sebagai organisasi siswa memiliki peran penting dalam membina karakter, mengembangkan potensi, serta menyalurkan aspirasi siswa melalui kegiatan non-akademis. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketua OSIS menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis melalui musyawarah, keterlibatan anggota dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta menjaga kerjasama dan kekompakan tim. Faktor penghambat yang ditemukan antara lain kurangnya partisipasi siswa, keterbatasan dana, serta perbedaan pendapat antar anggota. Meskipun demikian, kepemimpinan demokratis terbukti mampu menciptakan suasana kolaboratif, meningkatkan motivasi anggota, dan menghasilkan berbagai program OSIS yang sukses, seperti peringatan Maulid Nabi dan kegiatan Jum’at Talent. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan demokratis berperan signifikan dalam mendorong keberhasilan program OSIS di SMA Swasta Nur Azizi Tanjung Morawa.
