Justice Legislation and Crime Journal (JLC) is a scholarly forum for critical inquiry into law, justice, legislation, crime, and the diverse legal institutions and practices that shape contemporary society. The journal welcomes original research, doctrinal and normative legal studies, socio-legal research, comparative analysis, empirical investigations, theoretical contributions, and critical reviews addressing a broad spectrum of legal fields. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, criminal law and criminal justice, criminology, criminal procedure, civil law, civil procedure, constitutional law, administrative law, legislative studies, regulatory governance, customary law, inheritance law, family law, Islamic law, international law, international criminal law, private international law, human rights law, business and commercial law, corporate law, economic law, labor and employment law, environmental law, agrarian law, land law, intellectual property law, cyber law, technology law, consumer protection law, tax law, maritime law, health law, education law, and legal philosophy and theory. JLC also encourages scholarship examining the interaction between formal legal systems, customary norms, social institutions, public policy, and evolving forms of crime and dispute. Particular attention is given to studies that critically assess the effectiveness of legislation, judicial reasoning, law enforcement, access to justice, accountability, legal reform, and the protection of individual and collective rights. By bringing together diverse legal perspectives and methodological approaches, JLC seeks to deepen understanding of how law responds to social transformation, emerging risks, institutional challenges, and demands for justice in both domestic and international contexts.
